Homewood Suites by Hilton La Quinta

An underwhelming experience. I stayed here for four nights in January while in town for a tennis tournament at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden across the street. Pros: - free breakfast, though understocked and limited options - full size fridge, stovetop, and microwave - free parking - no surprise resort fees like some other places in the area Cons: - the two queen beds in our room were definitely not queens, and both were fitted with sheets and blankets that were two small for the bed. My partner and I slept separately because of this - old, saggy mattresses and crappy feather pillows - our room had a terrible smell in the living room area, as if something had been burned. It didn’t fade the whole weekend - despite requesting housekeeping, they never came. - conditioner was empty in the shower - lack of outlets. The only two accessible outlets near the bed were used, and hard to get to anyway - horribly stained carpet in the living room - digital keycard didn’t work for the back entrance (right next to my room), so I had to walk through the whole hotel to get in every time - air conditioner was useless. First night set it to 68°, too hot. 65° the second night, still too hot. Third night we tried not using it and the room felt cooler. Go figure. Would probably not stay here again. Disappointed with Hilton on this one.

Had a great stay at Homewood Suites La Quinta! Location isn't right in the middle of everything, but La Quinta is a small town, so everything is within a 10 minute drive. The room/suite was nice and spacious for our trip with 3 people. The TV system is way outdated, so don't expect to watch Netflix or anything like that. It's literally 40 channels and the remote didn't work great, but we weren't in the room much, so it wasn't too big of a deal. The contactless check-in and check-out and digital key option were nice touches, even though we ended up going to the front to grab a hard copy of the room key anyways. I loved the option of a late check-out (12pm) even though we didn't end up taking advantage of that. The complimentary breakfast was decent. Not a huge array of options, but the quality of the options was better than some places. For example, they still used boxed eggs, but they added some other meat to it, so it tasted nice! Just wish they would have had some more classic options, like potatoes, bacon, etc. Overall, had a great trip and would definitely still recommend the hotel!

Great stay this weekend. Attention to detail was noticed from the start even at 1am!. Shouts out to Marco the night attend who recommend places to visit and for being so accommodating. Gym was not available at the time of visit, but Marco was willing to provide a solution for petty much anything I through at him.. Definitely great location and great service. Would stay here again again and again!

I thought I had already posted a review so sorry if this is redundant. My A/C Condenser died on me so I checked in to Homewood Suites for four nights. I was super happy with my suite and the amenities at the hotel. I like the limited service concept. Who needs housekeeping on a daily basis? I certainly don't change my sheets or clean the bathroom on a daily basis. I was able to bring food from the house and store it in the full fridge and/or cook in the microwave. I feel like I really got good value for my money and there is lots of restaurants and two supermarkets within a 5 minute drive.
